rachel will be riding the sportster and was not at all happy about the current handlebar setup and start button location.

i told her she needed to get the sand out her vagina and then she told me saying that doesn't work because she is not a boy and she really does have a vagina and she was actually at the beach earlier that day so she had already showered and was absolutley clean down there, and these were just stupid handlebars and a stupid place for a start button.
so i came up with a plan. i used an old set of spiked 7/8 inch risers that came off a long gone triumph chopper, i cut up a pice of 7/8 inch jap bars to get a straight section, i sleeved down one side of a pair of 1 inch dog bone risers to bolt to the straight and then mounted a pair of 1 inch drag bars to the top of the dog bones. comfortable handlebar setup with a little 60s chopper cool.

things got a little tricky when it came to the start button. i ordered an old repop chrome harley style button from beezer's for $12. it's the kind that mounts right to the face of the bar with self tapping m10 screws and the wires are run internally. great, it'll look clean. it got sticky when i realized i would have to run the wires through the drag bars, down through the dog bones, through the reducer sleeve, through the straight bar and out the bottom. all while not stripping any of the insulation on jagged edged holes and all while not tweaking any of the bars/risers causing the wires to shear. it's cool, i got it done, it works and it looks good. pigpen came over last night and helped me wire it to the starter relay with shrink tubed blade connectors for easy removal of the bars/risers/button/wiring as a whole unit incase i feel like changing shit up down the road.

then we drank 40 ozs of wild stallion
